passport to social studies

NYCDOE Passport Social Studies is a comprehensive instructional curriculum that integrates the Next Generation Learning Standards and the New York State Social Studies Framework to prepare students for a global society. This program challenges students to think like historians and encourages them to raise questions, think critically, consider many perspectives, and gather evidence in support of their interpretations through the practice of chronological processing, decision-making, and historical research and analysis. Students also engage in community action projects as they incorporate the Civics for All curriculum. P. S. 98 also partners with the NY Historical Society for additional enriching social studies instruction.
